MRI Team Leader

About the role

The MRI Team Leader will oversee the clinical and quality aspects of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging service at American Hospital Dubai. Reporting to the Technical Director, the role ensures that all MRI examinations are performed according to hospital guidelines, safety standards, and with the highest image quality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the MRI service, maintaining clinical standards and quality assurance.
• Perform a full range of MRI examinations, selecting techniques and calibrating equipment.
• Participate in the daily clinical rota and out‑of‑hours standby schedule.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, prioritising critical and emergency cases in collaboration with radiologists.
• Lead and mentor MRI technologists, organising daily and weekly QA/QC integrity checks.
• Develop and implement procedural and equipment‑based skills review tools.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives and education programmes.
• Ensure equipment readiness, stock availability and cleanliness of MRI rooms.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in MRI imaging.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a radiology department.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with radiologists and department leadership.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
