Network Administrator

About the role

Gadget Express is seeking a proactive Network Administrator to join its Dubai team. You will be responsible for securing, maintaining and optimizing the company’s network infrastructure while providing reliable support to internal users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑user support for Windows, macOS and Office Suite applications.
• Install, repair and configure hardware and software for onsite and remote users.
• Manage daily and nightly backups, troubleshoot any issues and ensure antivirus/anti‑malware protection is up‑to‑date.
• Maintain peripheral devices such as printers, scanners and projectors.
• Oversee mobile device support and billing for iOS and Android devices.
• Purchase and negotiate hardware/software procurement.
• Test WAN failover, monitor network connectivity and resolve related problems.
• Define and enforce network policies and procedures.
• Configure user accounts, permissions and passwords in Active Directory.
• Apply critical patches to servers and end‑user PCs.
• Provide ERP E1 support, including password resets and printing issues.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of full‑time experience installing and maintaining laptops, desktops, mobile devices and Windows servers.
• Strong ability to diagnose problems and work independently.
• Experience supporting a diverse user base in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Windows OS (Win 7, Server 2008/2012) and macOS.
• Active Directory (user provisioning, password resets, Group Policy).
• DHCP and DNS configuration.
• VMware virtualization networking concepts.
• NTFS file and share permissions.
• Switches, hubs, network cabling, NAS and SAN devices.
• Firewalls and basic network security.
• ERP E1 support, backup solutions and antivirus/anti‑malware tools.
