Network Systems Manager

About the role

The University seeks a seasoned Network Systems Manager to lead the planning, design, implementation and operation of its entire IT network infrastructure. You will ensure reliable, secure access to wired and wireless services, IP telephony, and cloud platforms while supporting business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the Network Systems Group, overseeing wired/wireless networks, firewalls, IPS/IDS, load balancers, DNS, DHCP and IP address management.
• Manage IP telephony, PBX, voice‑mail, and related communication links for all university staff.
• Lead projects for network upgrades, virtualization, cloud self‑provisioning portals and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers and internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality services.
• Develop and monitor IT budgets, CAPEX proposals and procurement processes.
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance management for the network team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing enterprise‑scale network infrastructures.
• Proven project‑management and budgeting skills.
• Strong communication abilities to work with university leadership and external partners.
