Nursery Nurse

About the role

The Nursery Nurse will ensure the health, safety and well‑being of children aged 6 weeks to 6 years in our early years centres. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, nurturing environment that follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date medical records and ensure compliance with DHA regulations.
• Conduct daily health checks, identify illnesses, isolate affected children and coordinate with physicians or hospitals.
• Oversee health‑and‑safety, hygiene and infection‑control policies, including Covid‑19 protocols.
• Prepare safe play areas, clean and store toys and equipment appropriately.
• Assist teachers in the classroom as needed.
• Provide first‑aid treatment to children and staff and arrange emergency assistance when required.
• Deliver training on allergy management and other medical conditions.

Required profile

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with young children.
• Flexibility to undertake a range of tasks efficiently.

Required skills

• First aid certification.
