OpenStack Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an OpenStack Engineering Manager to lead a distributed engineering team responsible for operating modern private‑cloud infrastructure for customers worldwide. The role combines technical leadership, people management, service delivery and continuous engineering improvement in a remote‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team delivering day‑to‑day managed services for customer OpenStack environments.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, practices and workflows to increase quality and delivery velocity.
• Monitor team health indicators and use insights to enhance performance and collaboration.
• Ensure customer deployments meet service level agreements and are delivered consistently on time.
• Represent the team with customers, internal stakeholders and external partners, coordinating priorities and milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technology‑related field.
• Proven experience delivering software using Python, Go, C, C++, Java or similar, and/or managing technical operations teams.
• Demonstrated professional experience with OpenStack.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and engineering quality practices.
• Experience with Linux system administration, preferably Ubuntu or Debian.
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams and strong stakeholder management skills.
