Operations Coordinator – Ocean Freight

About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding in Dubai as an Operations Coordinator, supporting ocean freight forwarding processes for internal and external customers. You will ensure smooth flow of goods and information across global supply chains while adhering to corporate guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support: gather operational requirements, arrange customer visits, respond to tariff queries.
• Perform research, data processing, validation and documentation for freight forwarding activities.
• Compile requirements for the freight control centre and allocate freight on planned line hauls.
• Determine freight rates based on tariff analysis, classifications and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and distribute import/export documents and handle day‑to‑day shipment paperwork.
• Reconcile data, generate performance reports and ensure compliance with OFR Ops/CS processes.
• Resolve recurring operational issues and support less‑experienced team members.
• Create and confirm transport orders, optimise bookings and update customs information.

Required profile

• Under general or limited supervision, support delivery of ocean freight processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to analyse tariff data and propose solutions for supplier performance.
