Operations & Maintenance Technician – Rail Systems

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Operations & Maintenance Technician to join its Dubai team. You will work on rail and transit equipment, ensuring high availability of rolling stock and wayside systems while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rolling stock, wayside equipment and associated systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults using electronic testing and diagnostic tools.
• Support OCC operations, train availability, service restoration and emergency response.
• Operate ATC, ATP, PDS, CCTV, communication systems and the Site Information Management System (SIMS).
• Develop and update maintenance procedures, schedules, technical documentation and training materials.
• Monitor system performance, coordinate contingency actions during service disruptions and manage power interactions with traction and distribution networks.
• Ensure compliance with Alstom EHS requirements and the Zero Deviation Policy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electromechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems within rail or transit environments.
• Strong background in preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis and system recovery.
• Familiarity with OCC/control‑center operations and safety compliance procedures.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time and respond to emergency situations.
