Operations Risk Manager

About the role

NymCard is looking for an Operations Risk Manager to strengthen its operational risk programme across card issuing, payment processing, and supporting operations. You will work closely with product, technology, operations, fraud, finance, compliance, and legal teams to identify, assess, monitor, and remediate operational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Operational Risk Management Framework in line with CBUAE expectations and internal policies.
• Coordinate and execute risk and control self‑assessments (RCSAs) across core operational areas such as card issuing, transaction processing, settlements, fraud operations, reconciliations, customer support, and vendor‑supported services.
• Document inherent and residual risks, control design, effectiveness, and agreed remediation actions with clear owners and timelines.
• Define, track, and monitor key risk indicators, incidents, near‑misses, and control breaches.
• Prepare concise risk dashboards and trend analyses for senior management and governance forums.
• Support incident investigation, documentation, and ensure readiness for internal reviews, audits, and regulatory interactions.

Required profile

• Experience in operational risk management within payments, banking, or fintech environments.
• Strong understanding of regulatory expectations (e.g., CBUAE) and internal risk frameworks.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, technology, operations, fraud, finance, compliance, and legal teams.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills with a focus on evidence‑based risk assessment.
