Operator – Shift Controller – Semi‑Finished Steel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operator – Shift Controller for semi‑finished steel products at our Abu Dhabi casting plant. The role involves overseeing billet handling, quality checks and ensuring compliance with operational policies and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement operational policies across the casting plant to meet procedural and legislative requirements.
• Perform timely billet quality inspections and collect samples using gas‑cutting techniques.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control team to verify product quality and quantity.
• Identify, segregate, handle and store semi‑finished products according to the Emirates Steel QS Program.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, the ASME Code and customer specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum Higher Secondary in Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience as a billet handling operator in a steel plant.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in the billets caster industry using gas‑cutting systems.
• In‑depth technical knowledge of billet quality and operational policies.
