Optometrist – Eye Care & Sales Specialist

About the role

The Optometrist will deliver comprehensive eye examinations, prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses, and provide top‑tier customer service in a busy retail environment. The role also supports optical product sales, stock management and daily store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and vision assessments for clients.
• Diagnose common vision problems and prescribe appropriate glasses or contact lenses.
• Fit contact lenses, advise on eye‑care practices and maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide personalized recommendations based on customers’ lifestyle and vision needs.
• Follow up with clients within three days of examinations to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor contact‑lens inventory, check expiry dates bi‑annually and place orders as needed.
• Oversee maintenance of optometry equipment and ensure compliance with clinical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or recognized qualification in Optometry.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Valid Optometrist license or eligibility letter from MOH, DHA, or DOH.
• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and varied shifts.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Russian is a plus.
