Optometrist

About the role

The Optometrist will deliver comprehensive eye examinations, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide contact lens fittings while ensuring a high level of customer service. This position supports daily store operations, optical sales, and customer retention in a busy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and vision assessments, diagnose common vision problems, and prescribe glasses or contact lenses.
• Perform contact lens fittings, provide eye‑care guidance, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Offer personalized product recommendations based on customers' vision needs and lifestyle.
• Follow up with patients within three days after examinations to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor contact lens inventory, check expiry dates, and place orders as needed.
• Oversee maintenance of optometry equipment and ensure it is functional.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or recognized qualification in Optometry.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Valid Optometrist license or eligibility letter from MOH, DHA, or DOH.
• Strong clinical, communication, and customer‑service abilities.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Russian is a plus.
