OT Cybersecurity Specialist/Engineer

About the role

The OT Cybersecurity Specialist/Engineer will deliver managed security services for oil & gas operational technology (OT) and industrial control system (ICS) environments. Working in a hybrid setting in the UAE, you will act as the senior technical authority, ensuring the availability, integrity, resilience and regulatory compliance of OT security solutions across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for OT/ICS security tools, including antivirus, endpoint protection, application whitelisting, OT firewalls, IPS/IDS, data diodes, secure remote access, secure file transfer and passive monitoring solutions.
• Install, configure, tune, backup, restore and patch security technologies following approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate OT cybersecurity asset inventories and CMDB records; manage user accounts, access rights and authentication mechanisms.
• Define, monitor and report operational metrics and KPIs; develop SOPs, health‑check procedures and preventive‑maintenance plans.
• Detect, analyse and respond to OT cyber‑threats; create remediation plans, supervise incident‑response activities and manage vulnerability assessments.
• Support security requirements throughout project lifecycles (DGS, FEED, EPC, FAT/SAT/SIT); guide technical teams on implementation and compliance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, preferably within oil & gas environments.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management and resilience principles for industrial systems.
• Ability to act as a subject‑matter expert, lead technical discussions and influence stakeholders.
