Packaging Engineer

About the role

The Packaging Engineer will lead end‑to‑end packaging development for new, low‑complexity fragrance products. Working across primary and secondary packaging, the role ensures solutions are consumer‑centric, technically feasible, sustainable, cost‑effective and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Translate product development briefs into packaging concepts, architecture and manufacturing techniques.
• Develop concepts that balance consumer experience, technical feasibility, sustainability and cost objectives.
• Coordinate with packaging suppliers to produce mock‑ups, renders, 3D prints and feasibility samples.
• Assess technical feasibility, identify risks before design lock and propose mitigation actions.
• Support exploration of new mechanisms, closures and decorative solutions, escalating complex technical or IP issues as needed.
• Own the technical development of assigned projects from design through industrialisation, including component specifications and fill/assembly specifications.

Required profile

• Experience managing end‑to‑end packaging development for low‑complexity consumer products.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product development, design, procurement, quality, regulatory, supply chain and contract manufacturers.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with capacity to escalate complex technical challenges.
