Painter – Hotel Engineering

About the role

Mandarin Oriental’s Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Painter to join its Engineering team. The role involves maintaining and restoring the hotel’s woodwork, furniture and decorative elements to the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Paint, polish and finish furniture, wooden or gypsum panels, false ceilings and decorative doors.
• Repair and repaint metal doors, frames and gold‑leaf features in public areas.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of public spaces, plant rooms and workshops.
• Guide and train the painting crew, ensuring proper tools, materials and safety standards are used.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide specialised painting services for events and functions.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a painter in luxury property or resort environments.
• Proficiency with a variety of surfaces including wood, metal, gypsum, walls and ceilings.
• Knowledge of decorative painting, polishing, touch‑up and finishing techniques.
• Technical certification or vocational training in painting, polishing or finishing is an advantage.
