Panel Operator – GOP & DC

About the role

The Panel Operator will support the GOP and DC sections of the plant, ensuring reliable operation and high availability. You will act as a liaison between operations and maintenance teams, helping to solve daily technical issues and improve overall efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities and prioritize tasks to maximise plant availability.
• Maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system for reporting and monitoring.
• Develop and update operating procedures, standing instructions, and risk‑assessment documentation.
• Monitor plant performance, propose corrective actions, and lead root‑cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Participate in plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and reliability improvement programmes.
• Provide technical input for modifications, HAZOP studies, and process flow diagram reviews.
• Supervise and train assigned staff to achieve functional objectives.
• Assist in budget preparation and track variances to support cost control.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant operations or maintenance coordination within an industrial environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments and root‑cause analysis.
• Good communication skills to interact with operations, engineering, and safety teams.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical setting.
