Penetration Tester – Application Security Engineer

About the role

Linnk Group is looking for a skilled Penetration Tester to lead application and network security assessments. You will work on web, mobile, API, and banking applications, identifying vulnerabilities and guiding remediation to ensure secure deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated penetration testing on web, mobile, network, Wi‑Fi, ATM, payment gateway and API applications.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and configuration reviews across infrastructure and client‑side applications.
• Document findings, propose remediation plans, and track closure with internal teams.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to embed security recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, tools, and best practices in application security.
• Coordinate with external security vendors and auditors during assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of experience in information security, focusing on penetration testing and application security.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, OSWA, CISSP, GPEN, or equivalent.
• Practical experience testing banking and internal applications.

Required skills

• Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, Netsparker, Metasploit, Kali Linux, WebInspect, Acunetix.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS security guidelines.
• Experience with wireless, VOIP, ATM security, and Web/API testing.
• Ability to perform both manual and tool‑assisted security testing.
