People & Culture Specialist

About the role

The People & Culture Specialist will own the employee experience from onboarding through day‑to‑day engagement, supporting the transition to a more open, performance‑supportive culture within a long‑tenured, close‑knit workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Champion rollout of the organisation’s Vision, Mission and Values across the business.
• Design and run employee engagement activities such as pulse surveys and focus groups, reporting findings and recommendations to the HR Manager.
• Plan and deliver quarterly team‑building events for head‑office and site teams.
• Own the end‑to‑end onboarding journey, including pre‑joining communication, Day 1 induction and welcome‑kit distribution.
• Support identification of high‑potential talent and coordinate leadership‑development programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in employee engagement, people & culture, talent development or a generalist HR role.
• Experience working with long‑tenured or traditional workforces, preferably in construction or other operationally intensive UAE sectors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across a resistant‑to‑change workforce.
