Permit Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Permit Coordinator to support major Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE. The role manages all permitting activities, including Permit‑to‑Work systems, authority permits and client approvals, ensuring compliance with project, HSE and UAE regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, submission, tracking and closure of all Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) permits for high‑risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, excavation and lifting operations.
• Process and manage permits required by local authorities, municipalities, utilities and client representatives, ensuring timely approvals.
• Maintain comprehensive permit registers, master trackers and documentation, monitoring validity, renewals and expiries.
• Serve as the focal point for permit‑related communications with construction, engineering, HSE, logistics, consultants, subcontractors and government agencies.
• Support internal and external audits, ensure compliance with UAE regulations, client HSE procedures and international safety standards.
• Escalate permit delays or non‑compliance issues and assist with emergency permits or re‑validation.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in Oil & Gas, construction or EPC projects, with at least 3 years in permit coordination or PTW administration.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA or IOSH are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UAE permitting regulations and authority requirements.
