Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy (Dubai)

About the role

The Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care in the community setting that assists patients to achieve optimum health. The Pharmacist is responsible for the provision and management of effective pharmaceutical care to individuals and/or families in the community or in Patient Support Programs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure medications are stored correctly and manage inventory to minimize loss and expiry.
• Prepare, compound, package, label and dispense medications while reviewing physician orders for therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Provide pharmacological information to healthcare professionals and counsel patients on drug therapies.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, verify their work, and direct workflow to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain records for controlled substances, remove outdated drugs, and ensure compliance with DHA and MOH regulations.
• Handle cash, credit and insurance transactions, and perform daily reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly monitoring reports and quarterly quality‑assurance reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and adhere to infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• BS Degree in Pharmaceuticals.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Evidence of a valid DHA license or eligibility letter.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Demonstrated clinical pharmaceutical knowledge and direct patient‑care experience.
