Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacists in delivering accurate medication dispensing and ensuring seamless pharmacy operations. The role involves direct interaction with patients, inventory management, and coordination with logistics teams in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately, verifying prescriptions and patient details.
• Organise and maintain inventory, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation.
• Process incoming and outgoing orders, manage documentation and update pharmacy management systems.
• Provide customer service at the counter, answer queries and handle basic administrative tasks.
• Support compliance with MOHAP regulations and internal quality standards.
• Prepare medications for delivery, package them and coordinate with couriers or internal logistics teams.

Required profile

• Pharmacy Technician certification or diploma (UAE‑approved or equivalent).
• At least 1 year experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Familiarity with UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention regulations and pharmacy licensing requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy inventory software (e.g., Pharmacist, Rx30).
• Experience using ERP systems or logistics tracking tools.
• Knowledge of cold‑chain handling for temperature‑sensitive medications.
