Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

Reem Hospital, a state-of-the-art healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists in daily operations. The role involves handling medications, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe, patient-focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions.
• Receive, store, and organize pharmaceutical products following established procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels, support stock replenishment, and check expiry dates.
• Maintain accurate records of medication supplies and transactions.
• Support compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Prepare medication orders for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries under pharmacist supervision.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Assistance, Pharmacy Technician, or a related healthcare field.
• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management and medication handling practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• Experience with pharmacy management systems.
