Physics Teacher (Start August)

About the role

GEMS Al Barsha National School is looking for an enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join the Science Department in August 2026. The role involves delivering engaging, inquiry‑based lessons that inspire curiosity and develop scientific thinking among students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Physics lessons for mixed‑ability classes.
• Use experimental and inquiry‑based approaches to foster scientific literacy.
• Assess, record and report student progress, using data to inform differentiation.
• Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
• Collaborate with Science colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student achievement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development and co‑curricular activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science with a specialism in Physics.
• Recognised teaching qualification or licence (e.g., PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Minimum of 24 months teaching experience.
• Passion for fostering curiosity and scientific inquiry.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ICT and digital teaching tools.
