Planning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team in Dubai, focusing on interior fit‑out and construction projects. The successful candidate will drive project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring to ensure timely delivery within the approved schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules and baseline programs for interior fit‑out and construction works.
• Prepare and update project plans based on drawings, BOQs and execution strategies.
• Monitor daily and weekly progress, track milestones, critical activities and overall performance.
• Identify delays, risks and schedule constraints, recommending corrective actions.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Maintain project trackers, look‑ahead schedules (2‑3 weeks) and recovery programs.
• Assist in resource planning, procurement coordination and material delivery scheduling.
• Support delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) documentation and recovery schedule preparation.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide planning updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction, interior fit‑out or contracting.
• Strong background in interior fit‑out projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting.
