Planning Manager – Data Centre Project

About the role

Currie & Brown is seeking a Planning Manager to lead the planning function for a large‑scale data centre project in Dubai. The role supports project leaders in delivering high‑quality service, ensuring successful outcomes for clients, and fostering knowledge sharing across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an overall target programme incorporating design, procurement, permitting, construction, testing, commissioning and handover across multiple workstreams.
• Prepare ‘what‑if’ scenarios and review design consultants’ and contractors’ baseline programmes.
• Monitor and report all programme‑related activities, including resource and cost‑loaded baselines.
• Assess sequencing and durations of construction activities and ensure conformance with project procedures.
• Review contractors’ look‑ahead schedules, weekly reports and prepare weekly/monthly progress submissions to the client.
• Liaise and coordinate with contractors and the client, attending necessary meetings.
• Analyse contractor claims and prepare recommendation reports.
• Undertake Primavera schedule tracking for progress updates.

Required profile

• BSc in construction management, engineering, architecture, planning, management information systems or equivalent.
• Minimum ten years of technical delivery experience, preferably on high‑rise, fit‑out, testing and commissioning projects.
• Professional accreditation such as APM, CIOB or PMP.
• Middle‑East project experience is essential.
• Strong technical writing, client‑facing and communication skills.

Required skills

• Primavera (P6) – certification required.
• MSPA (Master Scheduler Professional Accreditation).
