Plant Operator – Process & Safety

About the role

The Plant Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring process plant equipment in the assigned area, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and the company’s HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment, adjusting speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates as required.
• Perform routine equipment checks, report abnormalities and coordinate maintenance.
• Prepare plant and equipment for maintenance activities and ensure proper synchronization with other systems.
• Receive chemicals, maintain stock registers and prepare chemical batches following HSE procedures.
• Obtain work permits, monitor contractor activities and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies as per the Facility Response Plan.
• Prepare KPI checklists and contribute to section progress reports.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed SOPs and HSE policies.
• Willingness to work onsite in a plant environment, including shift work.
• Capability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
