PMC Quantity Surveyor – Site Survey Lead

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Quantity Surveyor to join its Construction team within the Oil, Gas & New Energies business in Abu Dhabi. The role is full‑time, on‑site in Ruwais, and focuses on planning and executing all survey activities that support construction, installation and engineering operations for large‑scale oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute site survey activities, establishing control points, benchmarks and reference grids for accurate pipeline and structure layout.
• Lead and supervise the survey team, allocating tasks, monitoring performance and ensuring project timelines are met.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction and QA/QC teams to ensure survey data meets design and execution requirements.
• Conduct topographic, geodetic and as‑built surveys, validate data and prepare detailed reports, drawings and documentation.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments such as GPS, Total Stations and Laser Scanners.
• Support construction teams with layout and elevation data, resolve discrepancies between design and site conditions, and ensure safety compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field.
• Over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, especially on ADNOC projects.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS or equivalent, and certifications like AACE International.
• Proven experience in EPC and gas‑processing projects.
