PMC Specialist Planning Engineer

About the role

Wood is looking for an experienced PMC Specialist Planning Engineer to support the ADNOC Offshore Umm Shaif Gas Cap Phase 1 Onshore Project in Abu Dhabi. The role will lead planning, scheduling and progress monitoring across all project phases, ensuring compliance with ADNOC requirements and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up.
• Review EPC Contractor baseline schedules for compliance with contractual obligations and ADNOC standards.
• Perform critical path analysis, identify schedule risks and propose mitigation or recovery plans.
• Conduct variance analysis, prepare progress curves, S‑curves and KPI dashboards for senior management.
• Evaluate Extension of Time claims, perform delay analysis and support change management from a scheduling perspective.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of planning and scheduling experience in oil & gas EPC or PMC projects.
• Proven experience reviewing EPC Contractor schedules and managing integrated project schedules.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Deep knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques.
• Experience with earned value analysis, schedule risk assessment and delay analysis.
