Portfolio Manager – Private Markets

About the role

The Portfolio Manager – Private Markets oversees the Group’s Private Markets sub‑portfolio, ensuring alignment with investment guidelines, risk limits, and long‑term value objectives. The role focuses on developing and implementing a long‑term compounding portfolio strategy for developed markets, screening new investment ideas, and delivering consistent returns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an approved portfolio strategy with the support of the CIO and Investment Committee.
• Screen new investment ideas across Private Equity, Private Debt, and Real Assets, including funds and co‑investments.
• Conduct deep research and analysis of funds, companies, sector, regional, economic and asset‑class trends.
• Monitor the portfolio, tracking news, developments, and macro‑economic impacts on underlying companies.
• Draft and present investment material to the Investment Committee and report on performance.
• Supervise operational functions, manage relationships with investment banks, fund managers, and other market participants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree combined with an MBA or Master’s in Finance/Accounting.
• CFA designation preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in private markets investments.
• Hands‑on experience with fundamental analysis, due diligence and corporate valuation.
