Postdoctoral Fellow – Bilingual Conversational AI Research

About the role

The Postdoctoral Fellow will join a start‑up research project focused on bilingual (Arabic/English) Conversational AI for workplace wellbeing and psychology career guidance in the UAE. Working closely with the Principal Investigator and a multidisciplinary team, the fellow will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of two studies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day delivery of both research workstreams, ensuring milestones are met.
• Design and refine study materials, protocols, and bilingual assessment tools.
• Manage participant recruitment, data collection, and follow‑up for employee and student samples.
• Conduct quantitative and mixed‑methods data analysis and contribute to interpretation of findings.
• Collaborate on user acceptance testing, safety audits, Arabic‑English parity evaluation, and human‑centred benchmarking of system performance.
• Prepare publications, conference papers, and project reports with substantial contributions.
• Support mentoring and supervision of graduate and undergraduate research assistants.

Required profile

• PhD in Psychology (minimum qualification).
• Strong track record in human‑subjects research, psychometrics, and quantitative analysis.
• Experience supervising or mentoring undergraduate/postgraduate researchers.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
