Power Supply Team Leader

About the role

The Power Supply Team Leader will supervise a crew of Power Supply Technicians delivering preventive and corrective maintenance for the Dubai Metro power infrastructure. This permanent position involves field work, emergency response and coordination with engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance of HV traction power supplies, LV systems, emergency power supplies, UPS, sub‑stations, wayside isolators and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical or mechanical faults, replace defective parts and manage repairs through the workshop.
• Conduct periodic electrical testing, stress testing, and inspections of motor‑control devices, switch panels, transformers, circuit breakers, GIS, and gas‑insulated switches.
• Maintain accurate records in a computerized maintenance management system.
• Support the Power Supply Engineer on complex projects and new system implementations.
• Perform performance reviews, assist with disciplinary and grievance meetings, and provide on‑the‑job training for team members.
• Rotate into the First Line Response Technicians team and cover shift or emergency duties as required, including driving work vehicles to incident sites.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of experience in power‑supply or electrical maintenance, preferably in rail or similar high‑voltage environments.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team and manage field operations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for diagnosing electrical/mechanical failures.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance procedures for metro systems.
