Quality Control Specialist

About the role

The Quality Control Specialist will support all quality control activities across production, warehouse and logistics, reporting to the Manager – QA at Bateel International in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) based on BRC/HACCP standards throughout the factory.
• Prepare product specifications for new and existing items to meet country requirements.
• Coordinate documentation for third‑party audits (HACCP, BRC, ORGANIC, HALAL, Dubai municipality, supplier and customer audits).
• Support QC supervisors in storage control, CCP monitoring, production checks, label verification and inbound/outbound item inspections.
• Compile ingredient details and nutrition facts for product labels according to various country standards.
• Conduct trend analysis on customer complaints, microbiological results and environmental monitoring, and assist with mock recall tests.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in quality assurance.
• Occupational Health Card is required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and BRC/HACCP audit procedures.
• Experience in preparing and managing audit documentation and trend analysis reports.
• Ability to conduct mock recall testing and manage pest‑control and cleaning‑chemical records.
