Primary French Teacher

About the role

GEMS Education is seeking a passionate Primary French Teacher to create an engaging and inspiring learning environment for young learners. The successful candidate will join a world‑class school and contribute to a dynamic, creative curriculum that motivates students.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver an engaging French curriculum for primary students.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and across school phases to ensure cohesive teaching approaches.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and complete a UK‑enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with a B.Ed in French (mandatory).
• Proven experience teaching French at secondary level with strong subject knowledge.
• Experience with UAE and British curricula preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and a positive “can‑do” attitude.

Required skills

• Excellent IT proficiency for lesson planning and classroom resources.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for interaction with students and parents.
• Good command of English.
