Primary KS2 Teacher – Start August 2027

About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School is looking for an outstanding Primary KS2 Teacher to join its team from August 2027. The role offers the possibility to take on middle‑leadership responsibilities such as Curriculum Leader, Head of Year, ECA Coordinator or Head of Careers for suitably qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons across the British primary curriculum, including preparation for GCSE.
• Monitor and report on student progress, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Contribute to pastoral care and the wider life of the school.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and co‑curricular programmes.
• Potentially assume leadership duties in curriculum, year‑group, extracurricular activities or careers guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Primary Education or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching primary students within the British curriculum.
• Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high‑quality learning.
• Passion for inclusive education and ability to inspire students of all abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• In‑depth knowledge of the British primary curriculum and GCSE requirements.
• Effective classroom management and assessment techniques.
• Curriculum planning and delivery.
