Primary PE Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School in Dubai is looking for an enthusiastic Primary Physical Education teacher to start immediately. The role involves delivering a broad and balanced PE curriculum to students from Nursery to Year 6 and contributing to the school’s vibrant co‑curricular programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess a diverse PE programme aligned with the British curriculum.
• Promote healthy lifestyles and encourage active participation across all year groups.
• Collaborate with senior staff on curriculum development and potential middle‑leadership duties such as Curriculum Leadership, Head of Year, ECA Coordination or Head of Careers.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and ensure safety standards in all sports facilities.
• Participate in staff development sessions and contribute to the school’s professional learning community.

Required profile

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Primary Education or a related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching PE in the primary phase.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Experience planning and delivering a balanced PE curriculum.
