About the role

GEMS Al Barsha National School is looking for an inspirational Primary Teacher to join its team from January 2027. You will deliver engaging British‑curriculum lessons while fostering a love of learning and cultural awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Assess, record and report student progress to ensure each child reaches their potential.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
• Stay up‑to‑date with curriculum content, subject knowledge and effective pedagogy.
• Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning, best‑practice sharing and curriculum development.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and wellbeing.
• Participate in co‑curricular, extra‑curricular programmes, school events and committees.
• Uphold GEMS Education core values and school policies at all times.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably with the National Curriculum for England.
• Experience in an international school setting is an advantage.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding; UK‑enhanced DBS or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reflective practitioner who embraces continuous professional development.
