Primary Teacher

About the role

GEMS is seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Teacher to join its team starting September 2024. The role involves delivering high‑quality primary education, supporting student development, and collaborating with colleagues across phases.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum for primary students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies on child protection and welfare.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

Required profile

• Certified teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) in Early Childhood or Primary Education.
• Minimum three years of practical experience in primary education.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, administrative procedures, and child‑protection policies.
• Attested certificates and, if applicable, MOE equivalency for distance/open university degrees.

Required skills

• Excellent command of English.
• Proficient IT skills for classroom and administrative use.
• Strong interpersonal communication abilities for interaction with students, parents, and staff.
