Primary Teacher (KS2) – Start Jan 2027

About the role

GEMS Cambridge International School is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teachers with KS2 experience to start in January 2027. The role involves delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and support student progress in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons for KS2 pupils, adapting to varied abilities.
• Assess, record and report on student progress, behaviour and attainment.
• Mark and provide feedback in line with the school’s marking policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and clutter‑free classroom that promotes optimal learning outcomes.
• Analyse assessment data to adjust teaching strategies and ensure all learners reach their potential.
• Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants to develop and implement Individual Educational Programmes for SEN students.
• Utilise audiovisual aids such as projectors and radio aids to enhance lesson delivery.
• Participate in staff meetings, CPD activities and school assemblies, contributing to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Education degree or Bachelor’s degree with a teaching qualification/license in primary education.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience with the England National/ENC/British curriculum at KS2 level.
• Strong knowledge of ICT tools to support teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication skills for building relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
