Primary Teacher – Start August 2026

About the role

GEMS International School, Dubai Hills is seeking experienced Primary Teachers to join its IB World School community starting in August 2026. The role involves delivering engaging, student‑centred lessons that foster curiosity, confidence and global citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Prepare and maintain curriculum documentation, year plans, assessment records and teaching resources.
• Adapt instruction for individual needs, including ESL, low academic ability, gifted and talented, and late‑entering students.
• Integrate media and technology effectively in classroom activities.
• Promote student well‑being, self‑discipline and cultural awareness.
• Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed of progress.
• Participate in appraisal, CPD and performance management processes.
• Collaborate with colleagues on teaching materials, pastoral care and co‑curricular programmes.
• Support the planning and execution of school events and extra‑curricular activities.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) in Primary Education.
• Minimum three years of successful Primary teaching experience.
• Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is preferred.
• Commitment to GEMS policies, procedures and codes of conduct.
