Principal Embedded Engineer

About the role

ADASI, a leading aerospace technology provider, is looking for a Principal Embedded Engineer to develop and maintain high‑performance, safety‑critical software for aerospace and UAV systems. You will work closely with hardware, systems and QA teams to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software in C/C++.
• Implement real‑time and safety‑critical applications using RTOS.
• Integrate software with hardware components, sensors and actuators.
• Develop and optimise control algorithms for performance.
• Debug, troubleshoot and conduct system testing.
• Maintain technical documentation and support certification activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience with safety‑critical and real‑time systems.
• Strong problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX.
• Hardware‑software integration and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
• Version control with Git and software debugging tools.
• Familiarity with aerospace safety standards DO‑178C and DO‑254.
