Principal Engineer - Embedded

About the role

The Principal Engineer – Embedded will lead the development of secure communication firmware and software. You will apply deep expertise in cryptography, Rust programming, and internet protocols while providing technical leadership across hardware and software teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system‑level software development, coordinating with hardware, manufacturing, product owners and other stakeholders.
• Design, develop, implement, validate and document embedded firmware (Verilog) and software (Rust, C) for secure communication devices.
• Analyze and debug embedded systems to ensure stability, reliability and performance.
• Create and maintain automated test cases for embedded devices.
• Ensure project delivery on schedule and to quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvement and drive automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience with cryptography, embedded firmware, and internet protocol stacks.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to work in an agile environment.
