Principal Hardware & Software Test Engineer

About the role

Lead and manage alpha‑test initiatives to uncover issues early in product development and evaluate performance in real‑world conditions. Ensure lab test results align with design quality and drive actionable insights from in‑life product data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a quality dashboard that signals hardware and software health early.
• Create detailed product‑level test specifications and perform requirement analytics.
• Innovate test methodologies using AI/ML and advanced data analytics to improve detection reliability.
• Act as technical authority within the Test & QA team, collaborating with development, operations, quality and design groups.
• Report test progress and software quality status to senior stakeholders and ensure clear cross‑team communication.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of product quality or software testing experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple product deliverables.

Required skills

• Python with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn/Plotly for data manipulation and visualization.
• SQL for complex queries and experience with AWS Redshift.
• Dashboard creation using Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of electronics hardware and its integration with software.
• Knowledge of IoT product stacks, including embedded, app, cloud and machine‑learning components.
