Principal Software Test Engineer

About the role

ADASI, a leading aerospace company, is looking for a Principal Software Test Engineer to lead its embedded and avionics testing efforts. The role focuses on ensuring safety‑critical software meets RTCA DO‑178C standards while supporting UAV and aviation system development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a software testing team to deliver accurate, timely test results.
• Design, develop and maintain test cases derived from requirements and design documents.
• Execute manual and automated tests covering functional, performance and safety criteria.
• Ensure compliance with RTCA DO‑178C throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Manage test planning, execution, defect reporting and closure.
• Mentor team members on test automation, CI/CD practices and continuous QA improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional groups for system integration and validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics or a related engineering field.
• 10+ years of software testing experience, primarily in embedded and aerospace domains.
• Proven experience leading testing teams and delivering safety‑critical software.
• Strong understanding of software engineering processes and quality standards.

Required skills

• RTCA DO‑178C knowledge.
• QT framework familiarity.
