Principal System & Subsystem Engineer

About the role

This senior position is open to UAE nationals and provides full technical authority over end‑to‑end UAV systems engineering. You will lead architecture, integration, verification and capability development for airborne platforms, payloads and ground control stations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own UAV system architectures, governing requirements, ICDs and functional allocations.
• Lead trade studies and make final architectural decisions while ensuring compliance with GCAA, EASA, FAA, MIL‑STD/STANAG standards.
• Integrate hardware, software, mechanical, electrical and RF subsystems, meeting performance, safety, SWaP and reliability targets.
• Mentor multidisciplinary engineers and drive SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR and PRR reviews.
• Institutionalize systems engineering processes and support Emirati talent development.
• Define verification & validation strategies across lab, ground and flight testing, ensuring traceability to requirements.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for system‑level issues.

Required profile

• UAE national with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace, Systems or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 5+ years of hands‑on UAV systems engineering experience, including flight control, autonomy and sensor fusion.
• Proven track record in system architecture, integration, verification and flight testing of UAV programs.
