Process Electrician Supervisor

About the role

McDermott International is seeking a Process Electrician Supervisor to lead the electrical and welding activities in its fabrication yard for offshore modules. The role combines technical oversight, safety management and coordination with engineering and project teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and technical support to yard operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes and project specifications.
• Oversee discipline activities such as procedure development, equipment selection, consumable choices and quality control measures.
• Develop and implement programs to improve efficiency, productivity, safety and quality.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of welding work, identifying non‑conformities and driving corrective actions.
• Train, mentor and assess personnel on welding techniques, safety protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and support smooth project execution.
• Liaise with client representatives and external stakeholders on welding‑related queries and provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive fabrication experience in the oil and gas sector, particularly on offshore modules.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes.
• Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time and to quality specifications.
• Effective leadership and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
