Procurement Lead

About the role

CollectiveSpend is looking for a hands‑on Procurement Lead to head its Buying Desk. You will work side‑by‑side with the team, driving daily sourcing, supplier negotiations, onboarding and catalog creation while ensuring the service delivered exceeds client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Buying Desk by actively participating in daily procurement tasks.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers on a high‑frequency basis.
• Identify, vet, and onboard new suppliers to enrich the METIS marketplace.
• Create and maintain accurate, competitive catalogs and contracts for the platform.
• Manage incoming buying requests end‑to‑end, delivering fast and reliable outcomes.
• Own the overall service quality and client experience.
• Coach and develop the Buying Desk team through example.
• Leverage AI tools to increase procurement speed and move toward autonomous operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a high‑volume, tail‑spend environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by doing and maintain the highest personal output.
• Strong negotiation and supplier‑management skills.
• Experience building and maintaining product catalogs or contract libraries.
• Comfortable coaching and scaling a small, fast‑paced team.
