Product Development Manager

About the role

The Product Development Manager will lead Agthia's product development strategy, overseeing the R&D team from concept through commercialization. You will drive innovation, ensure technical excellence, and deliver commercially successful beverage products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the roadmap for new product development (NPD) across multiple business units.
• Manage the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and agility.
• Oversee product launches, ensuring timely market introduction and alignment with profitability targets.
• Identify market trends, emerging ingredients, and competitor activities to fuel the innovation pipeline.
• Build strategic partnerships with suppliers, co‑manufacturers, universities and technology partners.
• Prioritise innovation projects based on market potential, feasibility and ROI, and track performance metrics.
• Mentor and coach team members, supporting their growth agendas and conducting performance reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in product development or R&D within the beverage or food manufacturing sector.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to make decisions based on P&L considerations.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate market trends and competitor activity.
