Product Manager – P10i Engine Programme

About the role

POWERTECH Engines, an EDGE Group company, is seeking a Product Manager to take end‑to‑end ownership of the P10i Engine Programme – a 10 HP fuel‑injected small engine for tactical and ISR UAV applications. The role is a single‑threaded owner with authority over product requirements, configuration, cost, schedule and customer commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Own the P10i product roadmap, requirements, configuration baseline, change control, business case and master schedule.
• Make technical and commercial decisions within delegated authority, driving design‑to‑cost, value engineering and BOM cost reduction.
• Ensure manufacturability and readiness for series/high‑volume production at the Powertech Italy facility.
• Define and maintain mechanical, electrical, ECU/EFI and platform interface requirements.
• Lead engine architecture, EFI/ECU calibration, performance, endurance, reliability and installation envelope decisions.
• Manage programme milestones, risks, recovery plans and customer delivery commitments.
• Select and manage suppliers focusing on cost, quality, capacity, scalability and dual‑sourcing.
• Own test and qualification strategy, approve test plans and review results, participating hands‑on in test‑cell, integration, flight‑test and field‑trial activities.
• Act as primary technical and commercial contact for customers and integrators, and lead RFQ/SOW definition, pricing discussions and negotiations.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Automotive, Propulsion Engineering or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
• 6+ years experience in engine/powertrain development or technical product management within UAV, aerospace, automotive, motorsport or related sectors.
• Proven ownership of a product through development, qualification and delivery.
• Strong track record in design‑to‑cost, value engineering, BOM cost management and commercially driven technical decisions.
• Demonstrated supplier management and cross‑functional leadership experience.
