Product Manager – P220i Engine Programme

About the role

Edge is looking for a Product Manager to lead the P220i engine programme – a 220 HP MALE‑class heavy‑fuel engine that represents the company’s highest‑value, partnership‑driven product. The role is the single‑threaded owner, responsible for all technical and commercial decisions throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to first build.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap, configuration baseline, requirements and change control for the P220i.
• Manage the product P&L, including unit cost, pricing, margin and capital intensity.
• Direct day‑to‑day partnership with the Italy‑based development and manufacturing team, providing technical direction and overseeing milestones and commercial terms.
• Drive industrialisation, build and assembly activities at the Italy facility, maintaining a strong on‑site presence.
• Define and maintain engine requirements, interface control (mechanical, electrical, ECU/EFI, ICD) and overall architecture decisions.
• Lead programme schedule, risk register and gate/milestone delivery from concept through qualification.
• Report programme status, manage inter‑dependencies and execute recovery planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of relevant experience, preferably in aerospace or defence engine programmes.
• Proven experience in engine powertrain development and propulsion engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage international partnerships and manufacturing collaborations.
• Strong programme and delivery management skills, including schedule and risk oversight.
