Product Quality Engineer II

About the role

EDGE’s Powertech centre of excellence is seeking a Product Quality Engineer II to drive product approval and acceptance for supplier‑manufactured parts across propulsion programs. You will work closely with design engineering, supply chain and suppliers to ensure compliance with aerospace and defence quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review first‑article inspection reports against AS9102 requirements, verifying characteristic accountability and measurement data.
• Assess supplier PPAP packages for completeness, technical adequacy and recommend approval.
• Evaluate APQP deliverables (process flow, PFMEA, control plans) and ensure alignment with key characteristics.
• Prepare incoming inspection plans, sampling strategies and acceptance criteria for assigned part numbers.
• Support gauge suitability, measurement system analysis and resolve inspection queries.
• Manage material review records during new product introduction and coordinate disposition with design engineering.
• Review supplier concessions, deviations and 8D corrective‑action submissions, tracking closure.

Required profile

• Experience with aerospace or defence supplier quality processes (APQP, PPAP, AS9102).
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and assess process capability data.
• Strong analytical skills for non‑conformance and change management.
• Effective communication with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
