Production Area / Shift Supervisor – Defence & Aerospace

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Area / Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations in a defence‑aerospace manufacturing environment in Abu Dhabi. The role involves coordinating personnel, monitoring output, equipment performance and quality, while ensuring strict EHS compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage daily production‑area activities and shift targets.
• Monitor production output, equipment performance, product quality, defects and downtime.
• Coordinate machine operators, maintenance, warehouse staff, inspectors and packers.
• Ensure compliance with process parameters and operating procedures.
• Plan and supervise equipment changeovers and maintenance activities.
• Analyse causes of defects, downtime and productivity deviations and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of EHS compliance and lead personnel safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field, or a technical diploma with relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a production area or shift in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of serial‑production principles and industrial equipment.
• Proven ability to analyse productivity, defects and downtime.
• Experience coordinating maintenance and equipment changeovers.
• Confident user of Excel; ERP/MES experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 5S, OEE and Lean Manufacturing is an advantage.
